**Here’s what the job entails**:
In the role, your primary function will be to optimise Danske Commodities’ portfolio, including wind, solar and consumption. Concretely, your areas of responsibility will include the following:

- trade power across Europe and help handle Intraday Power Trading’s portfolio in active grids
- conduct, evaluate and act on market analyses
- develop trading strategies and tools based on a quantitative setup in collaboration with other teams
- participate in the team’s 24/7 trading shift scheme, where you will handle the European night hours from the day shifts in Singapore together with three other colleagues based in Singapore

**Meet the team**:
As our new trader, you will join Danske Commodities’ Intraday Power Trading team which trades power 24/7. Besides trading, we continuously analyse the market and look for new opportunities which, potentially, can be fed into the advanced algorithm setup we use when trading. In the role, you join our Singapore power trading desk which is part of our HQ Intraday Power Trading team located in Aarhus, Denmark. We are a team of 16 trading professionals, covering both asset trading and proprietary trading.

As you will be working in a dynamic environment with short-term trading, we imagine that you thrive on fast decision-making and are able to keep a cool head. You are also able to analyse, act fast and reflect; in the job, you will conduct many analyses to be acted on, but most importantly, you should be able to reflect on the decisions made - only then will we become better tomorrow than we are today.

Furthermore, we expect that you:

- are a recent graduate from an education within Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar or have 1-2 years of financial trading experience
- are interested in trading and bring motivation to the floor
- know the basics of coding in SQL, R, Python or similar
- have Singaporean citizenship
- are proficient in English - both written and verbal

Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
