**What You’ll Do**
- Own the fundamental view of the **Australian National Electricity Market (NEM)**, staying ahead of supply-demand shifts, generation mix changes, policy updates, and transmission dynamics.
- Build predictive models—ranging from real-time demand forecasting to seasonal price formation and congestion scenarios—using both traditional fundamentals and quantitative methods.
- Integrate **machine learning, time-series analysis, and optimization techniques**to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational scalability.
- Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and data engineers to shape actionable insights from research—ensuring theory translates into trading edge and strategy.

**Who You Are**
- Deep expertise in the **Australian power market**, preferably gained through trading, utilities, market operations, or regulatory exposure.
- Strong track record in **fundamental modelling and scenario analysis**.
- Technical fluency with tools like **Python**, SQL, R—or similar—and the ability to interface effectively with engineering and quant teams.
- A results-driven, high-impact mindset that excels in a fast-paced, flat, collaborative environment.
