Role description:
Due to a strong portfolio of projects, we have QS Associate Director and Director opportunities across our Commercial/Retail, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Data Centre, Corporate Real Estate Industrial/Manufacturing, Institution and Infrastructure business lines.

Associate Director Role accountabilities:

- Provide support to the Director in cost management of projects.
- Work collaboratively with the Surveyors to manage related issues on the multi-disciplinary projects and liaise with stakeholders on requirements.
- Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner, meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients forming a strong working relationship in true partnership.
- Take a leading role in setting team objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player.
- Effective communication ensuring all information is available for the successful completion of projects, to liaise with other managers to ensure efficient financial control resulting in projects being cost effective
- Liaise with other managers to ensure consistency of service delivery and to identify opportunities for developing both the quality and profitability of the service
- Overseeing the delivery of QS services from pre to post contract stage for all projects.
- Involve in other non-traditional areas such as procurement management, feasibility study, value management
- Provide guidance, supervision and motivation to the team
- Managing a team of including but not limited to 4-6 surveyors
- Assist the Director in all administrative and HR matters of the department
- Assist the Director in managing the staff manning, tracking the payment milestone for fee billing and bids preparation
- Contributes to team and project performance by collaboration and effective communication
- Adds to team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

- Recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Project & Facilities Management, Infrastructure Project Management, Construction Management or equivalent (that covers cost management for construction projects)
- Minimum of 10 years of QS relevant working experience
- Minimum of 2 years working experience with a Project & Cost Management consultancy company
- Good technical knowledge - Measurement, cost estimating, construction technology, contracts and law
- Understanding and familiarity with professional practice and contract administration processes
- Able to work as a team player and multi-task on few on-going projects/ assignments
- Ability to communicate clearly in both spoken and written English is essential.
- Ability to work with digital software (e.g.: CostX; CubiCost) will be ideal
