**About The Job**

The Asia Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event & Member Manager to organize a wide variety of exceptional events ranging from webinars to trade shows and everything in between.

You will be responsible for every aspect of event coordination, from working with our business partners around the globe to coordinate AWEA's presence in events, to arranging stand-alone AWEA events.

As the apex association for the Asia_pacific wind industry, AWEA works with industry and regional and national associations around the globe, drives policy development, business leadership, global outreach and information and education around the world.

The AWEA team is purpose driven, energetic and extremely influential. We are a small team with a big responsibility. You will join a highly motivated commercial team of membership and commercial functions. The team assumes responsibility for the organization across a range of disciplines including: Internal and external events; marketing, branding and reputation management.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**

We are looking for a passionate individual with superior project management skills and the ability to manage many stakeholders often with conflicting deadlines. You will support corporate strategic objectives through top-quality events.

You will also:

- Understand requirements for each event, including setting KPIs and budgets
- Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
- Book venues and schedule speakers
- Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
- Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
- Hire personnel
- Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)
- Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
- Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
- Evaluate event’s success and submit reports
