Entrepreneur-in-residence (Eir) - Social Impact

Wu Song Capital is a venture studio and early-stage VC fund focused on education, social impact (ESG), and technology. We invest in and incubate digital platforms that solve global challenges. Our mission is to empower entrepreneurs who are ready to create lasting impact.
As an EIR at Wu Song Capital, you’ll have the unique opportunity to launch and run a startup either from your own envisioned business or from one of our developed business plans. You’ll take complete ownership—bootstrapping from the ground up, hiring interns, scaling the team, and managing operations as you grow. This role is for entrepreneurs who thrive on challenge and can “rough it out” to build something meaningful from scratch.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Venture Leadership: Take full charge of launching and running a startup, either from your idea or a Wu Song Capital-designed business plan.
2. Bootstrapping Operations: Start lean—bootstrap your business from the ground up with limited initial resources, hiring interns and progressively building a full-time team.
3. Business Development & Scaling: Build the foundation and grow your startup, from refining the business model to scaling operations across the region.
4. Team Building: Lead the process of recruiting, hiring, and developing your startup team as you grow from a small, agile group into a larger organization.
5. Market Engagement: Create go-to-market strategies, engage with customers, partners, and investors, and continuously adapt to market conditions.
6. Fundraising: Manage and execute fundraising efforts as your startup scales, connecting with potential investors, and pitching the business.
7. Entrepreneurial Grit: Navigate the typical challenges of startup life, such as cash flow management, product-market fit, and operational scaling.
**Qualities an EIR Must Possess**
1. Entrepreneurial Mindset: Must have the resilience, creativity, and self-motivation to build a venture from scratch and navigate the challenges of startup life.
2. Ownership Mentality: Strong desire to take full ownership of a business, making strategic decisions and driving the venture’s success.
3. Adaptability & Grit: Ability to thrive in a lean environment, overcoming setbacks with resourcefulness and perseverance.
4. Experience as a founder or C-level executive is a plus but not a requirement. What matters most is your ability to hustle and execute.

Pay: $800.00 - $2,400.00 per month
