**Purpose of the position
Lam Tak Group is a Singapore based company who has more than 54 years old history in Food & Feed ingredients. LT has a global leadership position in feed and food value chains and Asia is one of the most critical markets for Lam Tak for securing the optimal footprints and markets access to maximize the plant capacity utilization, trading and merchandising opportunities and end to end value capture from origins to destination markets.

**Main Accountabilities
This position is an integral part of the Global Procurement Team, maximizing the value to Lam Tak Group Spend, by developing and implementing key strategies and synergies across Lam Tak Global Business Units on the Feed Ingredients Category.

The Supplies Director will be based in Singapore or Indonesia and report to the Managing Director.

As the Procurement Director, you will be responsible for effectively/efficiently supplying ingredients and buying those ingredients at the best possible price while maintaining agreed upon quality standards in collaboration with the production & sales team.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

- Developing a strategic, risk management style approach across critical ingredient purchases to ensure that the company is continually working towards competitive pricing
- Direct responsibility for purchasing whey permeate, lactose, corn, soybean meal, fats, distiller’s grains, bakery, and soybean hulls (large usage ingredients) and oversight of purchasing non-commodity ingredients for our feed mill locations
- Develop and maintain current and new ingredient vendor relationships
- Supervising Ingredient Procurement team (Ingredient Procurement Assistant, Ingredient Receiving Specialist)
- Monitoring toll mill ingredient pricing and challenging them on cost, supporting them to lower cost, or purchasing direct to toll mill
- Monitor and analyze agricultural commodity markets both at the local, domestic, and global level to assist upper management in key decision making

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration,Economics or Animal Science;
- At least 2 years Procurement experience in SEA region feed mill as preferred.
- Required experienced with Strategic Sourcing Methodology.
- Sense of urgency, ownership, focus on details and intellectual curiosity.
- Fluency in English required.
- Ability to travel domestically and abroad to plants and suppliers
- Previous experience working with global teams and delivering results across a global environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
