About the Role

Role

Based in Singapore, this experienced Account Manager will primarily be responsible for the retail distribution channel, which is the firm’s strategic priority. Partnering with the Wealth team, this individual will cover a number of our large clients and prospects, including managing existing relationships as well as formulating and executing engagement plans to generate new business opportunities. To fulfill these responsibilities, the Account Manager works in partnership with investment, client services, marketing, legal, operations, and other professionals at Wellington Management to identify client issues and effect solutions, and to develop and maintain client trust, confidence, and overall satisfaction with the firm’s services.

**Responsibilities**:
- Act as an effective investment representative of the firm and point of contact for a range of prospects & clients, plus support new business development for a range of prospects. A large part of the Account Manager’s focus will be on maintaining and developing relationships in the retail channel.- Implement the distribution strategy. Helps position and improve brand awareness.- Demonstrate knowledge regarding capital markets and investment management capabilities across global equities, fixed income, multi-asset and alternative solutions.- Contribute to the development of business strategy and client engagement plans.- Collaborate with other functional areas to address prospect issues, concerns, and opportunities.- Educate and consult with internal colleagues, clients and consultants on the markets, complex portfolios, and potential client solutions.- To fulfil day-to-day (regular and ad-hoc) servicing and reporting needs of our clients.- To work together with the marketing team to prepare and execute joint sales and marketing campaigns with our clients.- To use Salesforce to aid sales and client relationship management.

**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the distribution channel.- Solid understanding of the Southeast Asia fund distribution business with proven success. Experience with the Singapore retail channel is a requirement.- Deep investment product experience and knowledge across asset classes, with emphasis on the equities and multi-asset space- Positive, passionate and proactive approach, welcoming with enthusiasm new initiatives and opportunities aimed to grow the business- Good negotiation skills. Natural attitude to overcome obstacles, by generating actionable proposals rather than simply raising issues. Ability to think outside the box.- Outstanding internal and external communication. Team player and sociable.- Results orientation, able to work independently.- Able to organize work of self and others, being able to raise overall motivation.- Excellent English communication skills.- Excellent PC knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Morningstar, Salesforce).
