Actively seek out new opportunities for utility-scale solar farm and wind farm project opportunities in Korea, from greenfield through to RTB stage projects
- Create and refine the country strategy for Korea
- Perform opportunity qualification and technical analysis of the project opportunities, in conjunction with other members of KRE team
- Review opportunities and develop appropriate strategies for development, acquisition, and commercial closure.
- Define project scope, budget estimations, execution strategies, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
- Prepare accurate inputs for financial modeling purposes
- Assist with the project and corporate finance submissions
- Develop and deliver proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Undertake technical discussions with clients, utilities, industry and regulatory stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Build and sustain productive relationships with potential project partners, balance of system supply partners, project developers (if relevant), Government and regulatory bodies, and other relevant market participants.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, memorandums, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Participate in trade shows, workshops, or other relevant events to promote KRE’s business interest and develop new project opportunities.
- Support the negotiation of commercial transactions and assist with project acquisitions if required.
- Responsible for completion of legal documents (contracts, agreements, etc.) with project stakeholders and in-house and external legal teams
- Mentor and guide the solar development team
- Create and refine internal processes for the development and acquisition of RE Projects in Korea

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 7 years post-university business experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, energy systems, international business/commerce, or economics.
- Track record of success in project development in the renewable energy field.
- A minimum of 3 years of RE, full cycle Project Development experience, preferably with exposure to Korea markets.
- Deep knowledge of the project development cycle, SE Asia markets, and the associated regulatory environments.
- Strong technical understanding of renewable energy technology. An understanding of interconnection engineering and construction is an advantage.
- Understanding of PPA structures
- Understanding of Project Financing process and key requirements
- Understanding relevant regional languages is an advantage
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Strong networks in Korea
- Available to travel
