**What the role is**
- The Standards, Cybersecurity & Quality Assurance team was formed with the purpose of creating the right governance structures and policies to improve the cost-effectiveness, usability, and security of Government ICT systems. How the Government uses ICT is undergoing a step change with our move towards a Smart Nation. At the same time, this also introduces new risks to the Government and Singapore as a whole. As such, the team is tasked with working across different areas to set up appropriate risk indicators and drive the better management of risks associated with digitalisation across the Government.
**What you will be working on**
- In this role, you will:
Trust, Safety & Inclusion:
a) Drive and implement the Government’s strategy towards ensuring that the public feel confident and safe when transacting with the Government digitally, e.g. measures to counter digitally-enabled scams
b) Develop and implement the strategy to ensure that no one is left behind even as the Government digitalises its services, e.g. accessibility of Government Digital Services, and provision of physical services
c) Identify trends in ICT technology and research on their implications to how Government delivers services to members of public, e.g. implications of AI, blockchain, robotics, etc.
This role reports to a Deputy Director and will lead a small team.
**What we are looking for**
- At least 5 years of experience in technology policy, trust and safety, public policy, government affairs or a related field. Experience in a leadership role managing such teams is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a wide spectrum of external and internal stakeholders; including multi-agency and inter-departmental teams.
- Appreciation of cybersecurity and tech trends (e.g. machine learning / AI) as well as their societal and regulatory implications..
Having the following job experience is advantageous:
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives, manage resources and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Developing policies and strategies within a large organisation or experience in consulting, a start-up or other business environment.
- Having presented recommendations to senior stakeholders and management.
Ideal Personal Traits:
- Strong sense of ownership of outcomes, and confidence to assess and express one’s own view on how to drive these outcomes, and identification with the Smart Nation Vision.
- Analytical, with good critical thinking and an eye for details.
- Curious, willing to build up ICT knowledge and keep up with technological trends.
- Being adept at prioritising and managing between multiple workstreams.
- Being comfortable with accepting and responding to changes, amidst pressing deadlines.
