Network Engineer

DESIGNATION : Network Engineer - MAMK RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection/protection systems. - Monitor network utilization, performance, and security to ensure optimal operation. - Troubleshoot network incidents and analyze traffic patterns for efficient resolution. - Implement and manage firewall rules, security settings, and intrusion prevention systems. - Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and patch installations. - Maintain up-to-date network asset inventory, including lease, warranty, and contract details. - Administer IP address management, VLAN configurations, and network access controls. - Perform network backup, documentation, and compliance reporting. - Assist in evaluating new hardware/software for performance improvement. - Provide support for network implementation, upgrades, and security compliance. QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure management. - Cisco Certified Network Engineer (CCNA) or equivalent certification is required. - Strong knowledge of network technologies, protocols, and security principles. - Experience with WAN implementation, VPNs, load balancers, and wireless access points. - Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and optimizing network performance. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic IT environment.
