New Era Technology is seeking a four (4) highly skilled Network Engineer - GS Perimeter to lead the development and deployment of cloud-onramp infrastructure across the Asia region. This strategic initiative aims to streamline connectivity between data centers and cloud providers, reducing provisioning lead times and enhancing scalability.

This is a hands-on, project-focused role with no direct reports, ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in cloud networking, data center design, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role will be dedicated to a client of New Era Technology

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Infrastructure Design & Planning

    Develop technical specifications, topology diagrams, and implementation plans for DMZ, Colo, and DC deployments.
  • Project Execution & Implementation

    Coordinate installations with global teams, configure routers, switches, and firewalls, and manage vendor relationships and cabling infrastructure.
  • Stakeholder Management

    Collaborate with senior network leads and project managers, provide updates, and serve as the technical point of contact throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance

    Execute test plans, validate performance and resilience, and ensure systems meet SLA requirements before handover.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

    Produce detailed documentation and conduct handover sessions with operations teams for seamless transition to ongoing support.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience managing global network platforms, including Internet/B2B DMZs
  • Expertise in deploying and testing router/switch platforms
  • Strong knowledge of data center design principles and network security architectures

  • Hands-on experience with:

  • Cisco Routers, Switches, Nexus (NX-OS, IOS-XR)

  • Juniper JunOS
  • IDS/IPS, Palo Alto firewalls
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Fluent in English and local language
