**Job Desciption**
- Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
- Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Fill in for the Executive/Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Ensuring promptness, freshness, and quality of dishes.
- Ensuring that kitchen staff adhere to quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Staying up-to-date with culinary trends and kitchen processes
- Assist in managing the inventory and ordering stock as needed
- Assist in estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget.
- Assist in taking care of the kitchen’s accounts and creating a work roster
- Assist in overseeing the maintenance of kitchen equipment and organising repairs when needed
- Assist in handling staff issues, such as sick leave and attendance, and taking disciplinary action when necessary
- Ensuring that guests receive excellent service and enjoy their culinary experience
- Interviewing, training and hiring new staff.
**Pre-requisites**:
- 3-5 years of experience in Bakeries/Hot Kitchen/Fine Dining Establishments.
- Minimum Diploma in any discipline
- Able to work in face paced environment
