Overview:
The function of the Channel Sales Manager is to ensure revenue, profit and expense objectives are met for the business within Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam:
- Lead and motivate our channel partners and their sales team to meet and exceed our revenue targets and marketing objectives within the country.
- Ensure that our Channel partners meet and exceed Bio-Rad’s customer expectations.
- Ensure that our Channel partners operate in accordance to our Channel Partner code of conduct.
**Responsibilities**:
**Commercial Objectives**
- Meets assigned revenue targets for profitable sales and strategic objectives in assigned Channel Partner territories (Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam)
- Coordinates the involvement of Bio-Rad personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet Channel Partner performance objectives and expectations
- Ensure alignment with marketing team to drive growth in the focus products and markets through field activities like conferences, tradeshows, seminars, etc
- Create strategic deals by collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to maximize Bio-Rad’s success in these deals
- Proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis
- Work closely with marketing teams to improve Bio-Rad’s brand awareness, generate leads and drive sales across the products portfolio
**Organizational Alignment**
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned Channel Partners
- Enlists the support of sales specialists, FAS, Channel Management, service, compliance, and other sales and management resources as needed
- Closely coordinates Bio-Rad management involvement with Channel Partner and end-user customer management as appropriate
- Works closely with Customer Service and Technical Service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
- This position may have direct report staff assigned to support responsibilities and coordination with Channel Partners
- Build relationship with Key Opinion Leaders and key customers within Channel Partner accounts
**Administrative**
- Manage the recruitment, training, management of Channel partners
- Responsible for providing accurate forecasting and ensuring key opportunities are managed in our CRM (SFDC) and works with Channel partners for commercial processes
- Provide deep, ongoing analysis of local market situation and lead the optimization of sales channels / territory account mapping
- Ensure that Channel Partners attend all trainings and follow Bio-Rad’s guidelines/practices/policies
- Ensure a high level of liaison with other Department heads and Bio-Rad staff to ensure coordination of activities and understanding of common goals
Qualifications:
- Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical or Biosciences related fields
- Formal qualifications in management, sales or marketing
- 5 years proven successful sales experience in in the clinical diagnostics/life science industry
- Good knowledge of the clinical diagnostics/life science industry
- Distributor management experience
- Proven managerial/business unit experience
- Strong business acumen and result oriented
- Attention to detail
- Strong planning and organizing skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Proven ability to influence at all levels
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Positive and proactive approach in getting things done
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
