**Overall Job Scope**

The company is seeking to hire a Senior Trade Manager, to be based in Hong Kong. The incumbent represents the field capabilities and needs within the Business Unit and communicates the vision to the transpacific countries.

**Reports to: Business Unit (BU) Head**

**Supervises: 1 Trade Manager, 2 Assistant Trade Managers
**Key Responsibilities**
- Convey line strategy and goals to countries (Sales Targets /Allocations)
- Set prices strategy to countries.
- Provide guidance to enable countries to reach targets.
- Monitor bookings to ensure targets are met, flag problems as needed monitor and maintain market situation.
- Study and develop opportunities for product enhancement and improvement together with the countries

management.
- Build and update commercial work plans for countries according to allocated targets (incl. cargo/customer mix,

BCO vs. NVO, contracts vs. spot, etc.), market conditions and countries' capabilities.
- Develop Special Cargo / Reefers base countries potentials.
- Define commercial forecasts per line based on countries' inputs and market conditions.
- Promote the service, analyzing the market & ensure to maximize the revenue by using knowledge of the market

and competitors, direct business development, sales, and marketing activities.
- Provide BU with meaningful insights & analysis regarding commercial conditions within respective countries.
- Establish market research activity and monitor competitive activities by improving the market intelligence to

increase market share and customers.
- Cross Units responsibilities to Support the Countries (Logistics /Cargo Flow /Operation)

**Requirement**
- Academic education: Bachelor’s degree holder in Economics/ Business management/ Industrial management

engineering or other relevant education.
- At least 7 years’ relevant experience with a major containerized shipping line, or a multinational freight forwarder.

Experience in a regional role will be particularly valuable.
- Good knowledge of the related trade lane and region
- Understanding of Southeast Asia and ISC market is highly preferred.
- Experience in working with cross-functional interfaces
- Experience with projects management

- Excellent command of written and spoken English
