Internal Communications Specialist

As the Internal Communications Specialist you will drive to improve global internal communications and develop and drive consistent messaging strategy for employees and engage employees. You will also organize and support internal events.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior managers
- Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
- Storyboard or translate ideas to the creative team of designers
- Deliver content for presentations at organizational events
- Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization
- Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages
- Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Writing skills: You need excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees
- Creative skills: You need the creative ability to devise communication strategies Digital skills: Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication, is essential. Understanding the sector you wish to work in (private, public or voluntary) can be crucial.
- Interpersonal skills: You need good interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with communications and HR departments
- BA in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing is an advantage, though other degrees are often acceptable.
- Experience in a communications team, especially internal communication, for a large organization, is most sought after.
- Experience of writing for a variety of different audiences is a must.
- General journalistic or marketing experience is beneficial.
- Strong internal customer focus with desire to learn all aspects of the business
- High level of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high-level of accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
- Team-player and positive attitude, eager to do more and help out, views challenging situations as opportunities
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with mínimal supervision
- Passion and commitment to succeed by working hard and never giving up
