With the rapid changes in China and the world, it is essential for the younger generation to have a global perspective. While we look at the West, we should also have a balanced view by looking to the East, to find the bridge between the two worlds.

**The Go East division **( 东游记, which literally means a Journey to the East in Chinese) is established under Business China to drive this purpose. We develop and execute programmes to nurture a group of Singapore-China Savvy talents, by building a unique platform for our youths to enhance their bilingual skills, understand the latest development and trends in China, and develop deeper links between Singapore and China, and beyond. This role will allow you to directly participate in fostering stronger bilingual, bicultural and international mindset and skills amongst our youth.

We work closely with partners including Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), organisations and

passionate individuals who share the same objectives of creating opportunities for our youth.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Oversee the development and implementation of effective initiatives in cultivating and nurturing a pool of bilingual and bicultural, China-savvy and China-ready youth in Singapore.
- Drive and oversee GoEast team for the implementation of Youth programmes and Youth Interns Exchange Programme (YES).
- Oversee and drive business development/opportunities, recruitment and marketing of assigned programmes, events, membership strategies and implementation.
- Identify, cultivate, and secure potential partners and sponsors for programmes/events.
- Seek appropriate contacts and collaborations with suitable partners across industry and educational institutions.
- Any other tasks, activities or responsibilities assigned by the Director of Go East.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin - written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher Degree in Business, Marketing, Chinese Studies, Social Science, Economics, International Relations, or other relevant disciplines.
- Good knowledge and interest in China and International relations.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience in youth engagement and/or education, corporate and IHLs partnership/engagement and events/projects management.
- Track record of strong relationship and partnership building skills.
- Strong project/events management knowledge and experience.
- Strong leadership skills, tenacity and drive to seek new programme areas for Business China that are relevant with the times.
- Having a passion for youth development programmes/activities would be highly advantageous.
