As a Global Trade Compliance (GTC) Intern, your primary responsibility is to ensure compliance with local and international regulations by screening order transactions. This role is expected to play a crucial role in assisting Global Transaction Management team (GTM) in GTC to mitigate financial and reputational risks for the organization by ensuring compliance standards are met before GTM team to proceed with an order transaction.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- First level Screening in order transaction: Support GTM Team to conduct first level comprehensive and accurate screenings on global orders
- Work Instruction and procedure write-up: Develop first cut of process flow based on the instructions (and written draft) given by GTM Team
- Report Analysis: Based on GTM team member extracted SAP report to conduct first level of analysis, generate report if necessary.
- Documentation Review: Assist GTM Team to conduct initial screening on trade compliance documentation, reports to team members on findings to ensure compliance standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Students studying Diploma (or Degree) in Business Administration, Logistics, Computer Science, Data Analysis, Supply Chain (min. 6 months, 1 year is preferred)
- General knowledge of international trade, logistics or supply chain is a plus
- Analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data from multiple sources.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Comfortable with routine tasks
- Good written/verbal communication skills and computer (MS) skills is a must
- Being able to work well with others and communicate ideas within a team setting is crucial
