Strategic Merchant Manager

This person shall join the Merchant Services Team of Meta Financial Technologies (MFT). MFT looks to empower everyone, everywhere to access the world’s financial system to accelerate financial inclusion and economic empowerment. We are looking to grow our financial products across APAC.We are looking for a strong partnerships/ sales person who has experience in influencing internal and external leaders and stakeholders. The person should be entrepreneurial, strategic and action-oriented. This person is an analytical and resourceful problem solver who is comfortable working in an early stage business in a large firm. The role will support sales and marketing business and consultancies.You will be part of a high-performing team that works cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, marketing and operations teams to develop new capabilities, improve merchant experience, and reduce barriers that prevent people from driving payments and commerce on Meta. This team works across the Meta family of apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp etc.) to deliver products and services that drive greater prosperity for individuals, communities and businesses.The position is located in Thailand/ Singapore.
**Strategic Merchant Manager Responsibilities**:
- Lead relationships with partners and merchants to drive MFT payments adoption.
- Evangelize our new products and platform features to partners/ merchants through partner teams, platform integrations, 1-on-1 relationships or scale events and conferences. Scope opportunities in market & build channels and pipeline to drive merchant acquisition.
- Partner with internal cross functional teams to identify growth opportunities, drive thought leadership and strategy for MFT payments in market.
- Provide partner and merchant feedback to inform & influence product roadmaps. Help drive product tests for merchants.
- Increase the effectiveness of XFN teams by recognising, implementing and scaling opportunities for MFT products & strategies.
- Track, analyze, influence, and communicate key metrics to build opportunities and experiences that create scale and meaningful ecosystem value.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- 8+ years related experience working within the sales, partnerships or business development space
- Entrepreneurial outlook, able to work in chaos and flux, a go getter who takes initiatives and is strategic, has strong project management experience
- Experienced communicator capable of presenting ideas to external and internal audiences
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex, matrix organizations
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills
- Thai language skills, as this person shall focus on partnering with merchants in Thailand
- MBA or equivalent experience
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Proven ability to solve difficult problems that span customer facing, strategy, and operations
- Experience in Merchant Services, scaled sales or partner management
- Experience with Payments, E-Commerce or consumer tech companies
- Entrepreneurial, self starter, comfort with fast-changing, start-up-like environment
