Senior Manager/manager, Catering Sales

**Responsibilities**:
- Manage the sale of weddings, social events, seminars and meetings and solicit new business to maximise Club revenue.
- Identify, pursue and generate new clientele.
- Assist in menu planning in response to guest needs and maintain close contact with active accounts to promote repeat business for the Club.
- Keep abreast of the local catering market trends and events.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth execution of banquet events.
- Monitor operations meeting and collaborate with key departments.
- Participate in biannual competitor survey and analysis.
- Assist in quarterly budgeting.
- Prepare weekly catering forecast, monthly forecasting reports, and monthly catering, rooms and commission reports.
- Manage cost control and expenses.
- Create new wedding and social packages and liaise with key departments through the process.
- Plan tactical promotions.
- Coordinate events on actual day and conduct pre and post event checks.
- Source for new vendors for products and services.
- Address unexpected issues that arise during events and execute service recovery as required.
- Plan and organise in-house wedding shows.
- Liaise and collaborate with third party platforms on external wedding shows.
- Look out for other marketing opportunities with various platforms.
- Create Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for internal/external events.
- Handle banquet enquiries and create bookings and reservations.
- Prepare confirmations.
- Conduct site inspections for new and potential clients.
- Assist in other administrative duties (menu and signage printing, carpark coupons, etc.) as and when required.
**Requirements**:
- Degree / Diploma with 3 years’ relevant experience in the hospitality and/or catering industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, resourceful and proactive.
