**Responsibilities**:

- Initiate and maintain active dialogue with clients, venture-capitals, consultants, legal counsels, market intelligence companies in the growth technology sector.
- Keep track on technology trends, developments and potential opportunities in the market for ideation, pitching and deal origination.
- Hire, lead and manage the team and establish SMBC’s growth technology banking practice in APAC.
- With the extensive knowledge in the technology sector; comprehend SMBC’s credit framework, deliver sophisticated business plan and credit risk appetite framework as well as deal execution eventually to lead SMBC market entry and growth in APAC region.

**Job Requirements**
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree with min. 7 years of commercial or investment banking experience.
- CFA certified is a plus.
- Possess good knowledge and familiar in technology trends/developments in APAC region.
- Possess experience in leading pre-IPO financing or Venture Debt execution.
- Strong credit assessment skills.
- Ability to deliver Term Sheet for relevant loan proposals.
- Prior work experience in VCs or Tech start-ups would be a plus
- Familiar with VC valuations and startup eco-system
- A self-motivate team player with positive attitude.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
