Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (Special Educational Needs Support)

[What you will be working on]
- Assess student needs, plan and provide intervention support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support. Strong collaborative and communication skills to implement, monitor and evaluate individual support plan with other stakeholders.
- Coordinate and provide transition support of students with SEN into the polytechnic.
- Document and maintain SEN case management records; prepare reports on SEN statistics and trends.
- Provide internship support for students with SEN that includes collaborating with employers/work supervisors to provide needed workplace supports to achieve a meaningful internship experience.
- Plan and coordinate/conduct programmes to prepare students with SEN transiting into polytechnic, internship, personal effectiveness and workplace readiness.
- Organize programmes and projects to promote SEN awareness and inclusive education.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct training on SEN support for stakeholders (eg. educators, employers, parents etc).
- Conduct research to develop evidence-based proposals, recommendations and standards for benchmarking in disability services and disability policy development in higher education.
- Support departmental projects (eg. events and roadshows).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
[What we are looking for]
- Passion and disposition to work with students with SEN.
- Background in fields such as Education, Applied Psychology, Educational Psychology or School Psychology and/or relevant qualifications such as in Inclusive and Special Education etc will be preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting students with SEN, preferably in an educational or social service sector setting.
- Resourceful and good problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse background, and collaboratively with different stakeholders in student support.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and administrative skills.
- IT savvy and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Work experience in facilitating workshop and events management will be an added advantage.
