**You are an Account Director**:
A Carbon Account Director is a role of great importance. An AD is the face of the Carbon business and must defend, uphold and drive our brand and our reputation at all times. You are the person that our clients will build long meaningful relationships with. Relationships built on mutual trust and respect. Internally, you are also the client’s brand guardian ensuring they get the very best from the Carbon experience. You are a mentor, inspiration and example setter for junior account management team members.
**Your responsibilities are (but not limited to)**:
- Supporting your line manager through taking and challenging creative briefs from clients on major scopes of work while demonstrating the ability to independently interpret and qualify creative briefs from clients.
- Effectively communicating creative briefs to creative and project teams ensuring they understand the client's brand (s), busines, audiences and objectives
- Acting as key contact for designated clients offering project update/reports, understanding and internally communicating changes to client’s needs and projects, internally communicating client feedback in a constructive manner
- Managing non-business critical client issues/problems directly and escalating more complex client issues to management when additional support and decision making is required
- Confidently challenging client's opinions and viewpoints when necessary to help manage expectations and positively influence outcomes but only when there is logic and rationale to do so
- Navigating the often-political client organizational landscape to map and engage with key contacts, establish rapport and forge relationships with key decision makers and budget holders
- Supporting project/production team when needed through project planning and management and owning end-to-end project management and production on larger and more complex projects
- Working with the creative strategist and wider creative team to build client, audience and market insights which can be used to inform creative solutions
- Acting as ‘Brand Guardian’ for the client ensuring creative and project teams deliver solutions that meet the agreed upon needs and objectives of the client and ensuring client satisfaction is a key and delivered performance metric
- Seeking out existing client revenue opportunities through upselling on existing scopes of work and/or future client needs
- Staying informed of trends, innovations and opportunities in the creative content space to inform the creative and wider business while enabling Carbon to foresee opportunities to grow and evolve
- Maintaining the highest of standard of excellence in all aspects of your role and ensure consistency in those standards all the times
- Contributing to new and existing business pitches. Working collaboratively with creative and project teams to convert business opportunities
- Championing and upholding the culture of the Carbon business through work ethic, integrity and being a voice of positivity at all times
