**Roles & Responsibilities**
An Accounts Officer will fully support the Accounts function within the Finance department through the development and processing of accurate reports and account management.
**What will I be doing?**
As Accounts Officer, you will fully support the Accounts function within the Finance department through the development and processing of accurate reports and account management, and monitor all transactions as they contribute to or detract hotel revenue. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Carry out daily checks of revenue figures, supporting reports and vouchers.
- Reconcile and verify that all revenue sources are accurately posted, and resolve any identified discrepancies.
- Ensure daily and monthly revenue and settlement reconciliation is prepared on a timely basis.
- Review Upselling Incentives
- Reconcile and audit changes, discrepancies, corrections, voids, discounts, rebates, paid-out, house use, and complimentary use, gifts vouchers etc. and ensure accountability accordingly to hotel standard operating procedures.
- Prepare daily Accounts Receivable work, including Direct Bills, Group Bills, Rooms and Food & Beverage charges.
- Resolves inquiries related to Direct Bill by conducting thorough research.
- Investigate credit card chargebacks, and resolve guest enquiries.
- Perform control checks as mandated by Hilton's policies and procedures and SOX requirements.
- Support in the development of the Finance team and other roles that may interact with financial processes to help provide the hotel with a multi-skilled team
- Execute on tasks/requests as instructed by the Finance Manager and/or General Manager
**What are we looking for?**

- Previous experience in a high volume Accounts function
- Computer literate, with good MS Excel skills
- Good time management and organisation skills
- High-level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Previous Accounts experience, preferably within a hotel environment
- Relevant degree or diploma, in Accounting or related business discipline, from an academic institution
