The Regional Growth Platform Leader, APAC - Sugar Reduction is responsible to provide overall strategic direction and leadership for the business strategy for the region. And act as Project Business Owner (PBO) for Sugar Reduction Stage Gate projects, develop Value Propositions, launch plans and support materials for new product launches in the region.

Core Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning
- Develop the regional sugar reduction growth strategy, lead activation of strategy, design the innovation strategy, define business development plans for APAC, and proactively identify opportunities & risks, and introduce value propositions to clients & Go To Market (GTM).
- Support annual strategic planning
- Support VP SR&SS in portfolio expansion strategy, NPIs, differentiation strategies, regulatory approvals, including identification of targets for strategic alliances and M&A

Competitive Analysis
- Manage competitive intelligence system to track competitor activity in the sugar reduction market
- Evaluate performance, price, cost of competitor products in sugar reduction
- Assess strengths and weaknesses vs. competitor products and capabilities

New Product and Service Development
- Develop business plans for new products
- Design the product positioning strategy for the platform
- Develop value proposition, test product concepts and define segments/customers for new products
- Define specific target markets and lead customers for market launch of new products
- Develop market launch plans, ensures new rollouts to target countries
- Design product launch materials for use by Sales/Technical, in collaboration with the marketing communication manager

Customer Value Development & Pricing
- Clearly articulates value proposition of Products and competitors through value chain
- Use customer value analysis techniques to establish value
- Under the supervision of the Regional leader, establishes pricing for products and services and use marketing research to evaluate pricing strategies
- Maintain pricing database and analysis to determine market pricing dynamics
- Drive regulatory approvals for APAC countries, working with internal/external Regulatory partners to file petitions and address scientific panels with evidence of safety and compliance.

Communication
- Lead and manage communications on all promotions and marketing activities through traditional, website, and digital media in collaboration with the Regional Marketing & Comms team.
- Manage communication with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in the messaging at the regional level

Mandatory requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Food Science/Technology or another related field.
- Work experience in Commercial / Business Development in a food ingredient or specialty chemical business
- Strong business development expertise and proven track record of delivering sales growth
- Sugar reduction or specialty sweetener experience is advantageous
