Executive Search: Our client is a large European FMCG trading and distribution company with more than 100 well-known, leading brands in the portfolio. We are helping to establish their new APAC HQ in Singapore which starts with recruitment of a hands-on Sales General Manager to be the head of sales for APAC.

The product groups of focus for APAC are **beverages, wines and liquor **, but also includes **confectionery, groceries and baby food. **They have a very large international network of top suppliers, which give them a unique portfolio with direct access to global leading brands.

The company have customers in APAC and thus already trading in various countries and sending containers from Europe. The establishment of Sales team in Singapore also includes warehousing, which the Sales GM will also be responsible for. The startup also includes Regional Sales Managers which the Sales GM help recruit to the team.

**The Sales leader profile we are looking for**
- FMCG Trading and Distribution experience, including having worked spirits / alcohol trading and distribution
- Based in Singapore, with a large, relevant customer network in the APAC region.
- Self-driven person who thrives in a busy work environment.
- Able to travel to fairs, frequent customer visits and participation in company events in Germany. Estimated to be around 40 days per year in total

- Values: honesty, integrity, good merchant-ship.
- Hands-on, positive leadership style, and able to build and lead APAC sales team

**Job description**
- Overall goal: Generate new business through customers in APAC Region
- Proactive contact with new customers to build relationships, present products, negotiate prices, prepare trade agreements, and send offers.
- Teamwork with and reporting to the HQ in Europe
- On-board new customers and build new relationships.
