**As a Desktop Support specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include**:
- **Providing desktop support for end users utilizing Microsoft software.**:
- **Conducting preliminary troubleshooting of infrastructure issues such as Wi-Fi, network, printer, and server problems.**:
- **Deploying images for desktops and point of sales systems.**:
- **Assisting with software installations, updates, and patches.**:
- **Managing user accounts and permissions.**:
- **Providing support for mobile devices and remote access solutions.**:
- **Assisting with hardware setup & maintenance, including desktops, laptops & peripherals.**:
- **Ensuring data backup and recovery processes are followed.**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Respond to and resolve technical issues reported by end users.**:
- **Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems.**:
- **Troubleshoot & resolve connectivity issues related to Wi-Fi and network.**:
- **Provide support for printer and server-related problems.**:
- **Deploy & manage desktop images for new and existing systems.**:
- **Document & track issues using our ticketing system.**:
- **Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless support.**:
- **Understand & troubleshoot basic networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.**:
- **Assist in maintaining network security and performance.**:
- **Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.**:
- **Provide support for mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.**:
- **Assist with remote access solutions and VPN configurations.**:
- **Set up & maintain hardware, including desktops, laptops, monitors & other peripherals.**:
- **Ensure data backup and recovery processes are in place and followed.**:
- **Provide training and support to end users on IT-related topics.**
**Qualifications**:
- **Basic understanding of Microsoft software and operating systems.**:
- **Familiarity with troubleshooting network, Wi-Fi, printer, and server issues.**:
- **Basic knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.**:
- **Experience with deploying desktop images is a plus.**:
- **Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.**:
- **Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.**:
- **Ability to work independently and as part of a team.**:
- **A degree in IT or a related field is preferred but not required.**
