[What the role is]

You will be part of the Singapore Botanic Gardens’ Education team that oversees the strategic planning and handling of educational activities for schools and the general public.

[What you will be working on]
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to contribute towards promoting, planning, scheduling, developing and implementing educational programmes, events, interactive exhibits and interpretative signs. This will also involve planning, coordinating, and facilitating educational activities that are held in the Gardens and external venues such as at the Fort Canning Park and schools.

You will be required to help with the development and implementation of a range of on-going or new projects involving educational programmes, interpretive signs and collaterals.

Some of the projects that you will be working on:

- Develop programmes for children and families to learn about the Gardens’ rich heritage
- Conceptualise educational kits/materials for preschools and primary schools
- Review and identify improvements to the existing educational programs for schools

[What we are looking for]
- Degree in Environmental Science / Biology / Botany / Life Science
- Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in education and outreach
- Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal and organisation skills
- Enjoy interacting with people (including children)
- A keen interest in plants and nature
- Ability to handle logístical set-up effectively and both work independently and as a team member
- Experience in leading collaboration and partnership with schools and institutions
- A good team player, able to multitask and work under pressure
- Possess a positive attitude, is versatile and resourceful
- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
- First-aid trained with certification will be an advantage
