**What the role is**
- As a Senior Head/ Senior Manager, Higher Education Policy in the Higher Education Policy Division, you will be part of a dynamic team involved in the formulation, review and implementation of policies related to the development of the higher education landscape in Singapore, with a specific focus on the university sector. This position will give you an in-depth understanding of the Autonomous Universities (AUs) and an appreciation of a wide range of policies and operational considerations, especially those in the social and economic domains. You will have opportunities to shape the future of the higher education landscape and work closely with the AUs, government agencies and other stakeholders

**What you will be working on**
- Formulate, review and implement a wide range of policies concerning the six publicly-funded AUs and the overall AU sector to prepare students for work and for life, and further build on the strengths and reputation of the AUs. This may include policies related to governance, university admissions, educational pathways, course offerings, student competencies, funding and resourcing, student engagements and activities, and a wide range of university-related matters - Conduct long-term strategic planning of the AU sector to prepare the AUs and students to thrive in the future workplace and world - Guide and support the AUs on the operationalisation of policies and where Ministry-level support is needed, such as supporting the sector’s response to the COVID-19 situation with policies and operations policy guidelines, and working closely with each institution to ensure the guidelines are well-implemented - Assess opportunities for international collaborations on university education and represent the AU sector’s interests - Support MOE’s political office holders and senior management in local and overseas engagements related to university education
