Our client, a well-known Japanese company is currently looking for a New Business Development Support (Japanese Speaking).

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new suppliers for feed and fertilizer raw materials
  • Negotiate and build relationships with local factories
  • Act as a liaison and interpreter between local Singapore suppliers and related departments in Japan
  • Expand sales channels for products such as matcha, sweet potatoes, ayu fish, dekopon, and melons from Japan
  • Conduct initial business development activities locally and hand over prospects to relevant departments in Japan
  • Assist with Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects related to indoor farming and agricultural technology
  • Promote collaboration with local government agencies, venture companies, and VC firms
  • Provide coordination and support for partnerships and joint initiatives

Requirements:

  • Experience in business development, supplier sourcing, or sales support
  • Sales experience with local restaurants or distributors in Singapore is highly preferred
  • Strong interest or experience in AgriTech and innovative agricultural solutions
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese in order to liaise with Japanese Speaking counterparts
