About the role

We are seeking a driven and organized IT Project Officer / Executive to join our client in the Public Sector. This full-time role (12 or 24-month contract) will be based in the Central/East Region and will involve supporting the delivery of critical IT projects for our government clients. As a key member of our Project Management team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the successful implementation of complex technological solutions.

What you'll be doing

  1. Actively participate in all stages of the project lifecycle, from planning and scoping to implementation and closure
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document project requirements
  3. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports
  4. Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, workshops, and team communications
  5. Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and escalate issues as needed
  6. Provide administrative support, such as maintaining project documentation and records
  7. Work closely with vendors to ensure all ICT requirements are provisioned and operational outcomes are met
  8. Conducting training for users of the proposed ICT systems.
  9. Providing consultancy services to user departments on areas like exploration and scope narrowing of new ICT projects, feasibility studies on new technologies, assisting user

What we're looking for

  • Diploma in either Computer Studies, IT, Electronics, Communications Engineering or other equivalent engineering courses
  • The Candidate shall preferably have minimum 2 years' working experience in technical support for ICT projects or operations.
  • Candidate with prior experience in project coordination, field support engineer and Whole-of-Government ICT related jobs would be an advantage.
  • Candidates should possess basic ICT knowledge and skillset.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills including oral, writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A good team player with initiative and ability to perform under pressure.
  • A fast and resourceful learner with a positive working attitude.

Job Details :

  • Office hour, 5 days' work week
  • All benefits such as 18 AL, ML and gov statutory are included
  • 1 month's completion bonus
  • 24-month contract available with wide range of projects to be participate
  • Senior Project Officer can be considered for Project Manager roles.
