Our client is an established global commodity trading firm. They are looking for a Senior Executive to be part of their team managing end-to-end trade operations for Fertilizer Trading.

Responsibilties:

  • Verification and execution of purchase and sales contracts.
  • Negotiation of service contracts with surveyors' companies, including arranging cargo supervision at load.
  • Organization of the internal and external document flow for physical purchases and sales such as issuing instructions for shipping documents, product registration, etc.
  • Vessel nomination with Chartering support as well as subsequent liaison with freight brokers to facilitate smooth loading and discharging operations and to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Knowledge of laytime calculation at load port/disport; follow up freight invoice bookings/payments.
  • Arranging freight and cargo insurance.
  • Review, approval and payment/issuance of purchase and sales invoices.
  • Arranging Letter of Credit (LC) opening in coordination with Treasury.
  • Preparation and issuance of compliant documents under the LC.
  • Issuance of Bills of Exchange, monitoring credit exposure and following up on funds received.

  • Monitoring of receivables and follow-up,issuance of credit/debit notes, claim/premium calculation.

  • Entering accurate contract information and data into the ERP system, pre-calculation of relating costs, managing allocations.

  • Handling of commercial claims jointly with the responsible traders, assisting traders during negotiations with counterparties, editing and issuing amendments to commercial contracts.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of A-Z Trade Operations with experience handling Dry Bulk shipments/Agri-commodities.
  • Handled import and export LCs
  • Positive working attitude and strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, vessel agents, and international stakeholders
