1 in 4 people in Singapore may develop cancer in their lifetime. At the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS), we believe that strengthening cancer awareness and education are crucial steps in reducing cancer's impact.

As an Executive (Cancer Prevention & Control – Cancer Navigation), you will support our Cancer Prevention & Control (CPC) programmes and services aimed at improving national cancer literacy and navigation services for persons impacted by cancer. This role involves driving user-led cancer education initiatives, developing engaging content, supporting outreach programmes, partnerships, advocacy efforts and strengthening care navigation services.

Key Responsibilities

Advocacy & Public Education

  • Lead user-centered initiatives to destigmatise cancer, enhance literacy, and guide individuals through the cancer care journey.
  • Conduct research and landscape scans to identify trends and opportunities in cancer education and navigation.
  • Develop and manage a wide range of multilingual and multi-format cancer educational content (e.g. portals, brochures, infographics, videos).
  • Support the development and maintenance of a one-stop national cancer resource portal.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to deliver outreach campaigns, prevention programmes, partnership and awareness events.
  • Oversee agencies and vendors, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational content.

Navigation & Outreach

  • Support cancer navigator initiatives, training programmes and community-based outpost operations.
  • Support care navigation services through data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Other Duties

  • Assist with administrative functions within the department.
  • Support community outreach events when required.
Requirements
  • Degree in Communications, Administration, Health, or Allied Health-related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience (healthcare or social services background advantageous). Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in content management, stakeholder engagement, and vendor coordination.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adaptable team player with the ability to work across functions.
  • Empathetic and sensitive when working with patients, survivors, and caregivers.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems, content strategy, and project management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
