INSEAD is seeking an Assistant Director, Recruitment and Business Development, Specialised Degrees to join our Marketing and Recruitment Department. This is a full-time, permanent contract position based at our Asia Campus in Singapore. A hybrid working model is in place – 3 days on campus, 2 days from home.

About the job

Reporting to the Senior Director, Recruitment and Business Development, you will develop and implement all business development and recruitment activities in order to meet objectives in terms of application volume, diversity and quality of candidates globally for INSEAD's Executive Master in Finance (EMFIN) Programme. 

You will primarily focus driving recruitment and brand visibility for the EMFIN programme but will also play a key role in referring prospects to and supporting events for other Degree and Executive Education Open Enrolment Programmes. You will also play a key role in nurturing and maintaining the relationships with prospective candidates, Alumni, and build strategic partnerships with external organisations for EMFIN.

It is important that the Assistant Director be autonomous in the daily running of the recruitment and business development for EMFIN that reflects vital strategic decisions of the Marketing and Recruitment Leadership team. 

Your role within the team

  • Recruitment and Relationship Management: Focus on generating interest in the Executive Master in Finance (EMFIN) programme, nurturing relationships with prospective candidates, alumni, and building strategic partnerships to drive recruitment and visibility.
  • Ensure effective prospect follow up: Proactively contact prospects assigned to and ensure effective follow ups to support candidates' application journey
  • Strategise and organise impactful events: Plan and execute events strategy - including information sessions, masterclasses, fairs, tailored events, alumni networking sessions, group coffee chats, 1-to-1 online/in-person meetings - both online and in-person. Be responsible for sourcing hosts, faculty, supervising event organisation in collaboration with Marketing Events Specialists and promotion with Product Marketing Manager, ensuring sufficient alumni representation
  • Cultivate corporate and other external partners: Establish and maintain relationship with key corporate partners and/or external organisations to grow the prospect pipeline and raise programme brand visibility. 
  • Enhance alumni engagement: Leverage the local alumni network to support recruitment efforts and establish relationships with key corporate partners.
  • Collaborate cross functionally: Work closely with Degree Programmes Recruitment Team, Programme Advisors, Product Marketing, Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Development, and Programme Management teams to ensure seamless candidate experience. Ensure alignment and synergies with the leadership team for effective cross-team collaboration, while autonomously managing the daily recruitment and business development activities for the EMFIN programme.
  • Champion data-driven recruitment: Analyse metrics to optimise strategies, identify trends, and continuously improve outreach effectiveness.

The ideal candidate profile

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in strategic recruitment / sales manager with strong international sales / business development knowledge. Background or Experience in Finance would be a plus.
  • Strong experience and networking in executive masters degrees or the higher education sector.
  • Strong experience of personalised high-touch sales with senior executives and companies.
  • Good presentation skills and interpersonal skill.
  • Ability to set priorities, plan and organise effectively.
  • The candidate should be a talented team player and strong at building relationships with faculty, participants, alumni and business partners.   
  • Fosters a collaborative environment, encourages open communication, and promotes cooperation within the team.​
  • Adaptable in a fast-changing environment and able to quickly kick-start new initiatives.
  • An open mindset to work in a culturally diverse team.
  • Excellent command of English. 
  • Flexibility to undertake travels and events outside regular office hours.
