Job Responsibility:

Ocean Pricing

  • Assist in develop and promote pricing models for engagement with commercial team and customers
  • Negotiates & procures for FCL/LCL/local drayage/etc to support Singapore and SEA region.
  • Assists in building tender /business opportunities to identify key customers/ trade lanes/countries for growth strategy and resource planning allocation.
  • Align, implement and monitors the trade Lane/carrier/conversion/budget performance.
  • Assist in setting up and maintenance of local /regional surcharge tariff for FCL/LCL.
  • Provide administrative support of LSPs and the related legal review process.

Market Intelligence

  • Conduct research on global logistics market trends/ prospects/ risk analysis and develop the relevant insights in global logistics business, particularly in Ocean/ Shipping and Airfreight.
  • Identifying and prepare regular analysis report based on market data trends.
  • Support management activities through providing comprehensive freight forwarding market intelligence analysis and related insights.
  • Provide market conditions on freight rate forecast and provide insights through identifying market/ competitor trends.
  • Conduct training to internal stakeholders to share about the research findings, including quarterly seminars to leaders and procurement & pricing team.
  • Support on-site customer meeting with Commercial and/or Procurement/ Pricing team by sharing Ocean freight and Airfreight latest market trends/ conditions.

Requirements:

Education / Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree with major in Economic, International Trade, Maritime, Operations Research, Supply Chain and Logistics Management field

Experience (Mandatory)

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in handling Ocean Pricing
  • Candidate with experience in conducting Market Intelligence analysis in Global Logistics or Shipping or Airfreight Company is preferred

Skills

  • Good sensing of logistics market trend and potential risks
  • Familiar with Logistics freight index, statistics, DB management/analysis skill ie. SCFI for Ocean freight and TAC Index for air freight
  • Have a financial affinity in term of ROI and cost savings
  • Strong analytical, research, and reporting skills
  • Able to use the AI tools and Data analysis tool such as Power BI, Tableau etc is a plus
  • Keep abreast with the latest geopolitical and economic update that may have impact on freight rate forecast
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct negotiations at a regional/global level, with extensive knowledge of the shipping industry and market dynamics
