Purpose:
Responsible for the seamless guest-facing execution of all entertainment activities. This team ensures venues are show-ready, operations are synchronized with F&B and hotel departments, and every experience is delivered safely and efficiently.
Core Responsibilities:
• Oversees daily operations of entertainment and lifestyle venues (theatre, live house, lounges, sky deck, etc.).
• Coordinates closely with F&B and Hotel teams for service timing, venue layout, and bar operations.
• Manages front-of-house (FOH) standards, cleanliness, and guest flow during events.
• Supervises all stagehands, deckhands, and event crew for setup, transitions, and teardown.
• Monitors guest feedback, attendance, and service performance metrics.
Team Composition:
- FOH / Event Crew / Stagehands / Deckhands (Multi-role; part-timers / contract staffs)
• Handle stage setup, teardown, and prop transitions.
• Assist with technical changeovers and backstage logistics.
• Manage seating, guest flow, and show entry coordination.
• Support outdoor and pop-up deck events, assisting F&B and sponsor activations.
• Conduct check-ins, merchandise handling, and crowd management as required.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years in live entertainment, venue operations, or events management; at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial FOH role.
- Prior cruise ship experience preferred; hospitality/hotel-resort or large-scale venue (theatre, live house, casino, festival) experience accepted.
- Proven experience managing mixed teams of full-time, part-time and contract staff (stagehands, deckhands, FOH).
Technical & Operational Skills:
- Solid knowledge of front-of-house operations: seating, crowd flow, house rules, guest safety and accessibility.
- Competence in coordinating with F&B and hotel departments for timing, venue setups, and bar/service integration.
- Strong stage and event logistics understanding: setup/teardown sequencing, prop management, stagehand tasking, and basic rigging/backstage workflows.
- Familiarity with health, safety and emergency procedures for entertainment venues (crowd control, fire safety, evacuation).
- Basic technical literacy with venue systems: POS, rostering/scheduling tools, ticketing/guest-list systems; aptitude to learn shipboard operational software.
Leadership & People Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, mentor and motivate multicultural, multilingual teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent conflict resolution, incident reporting and guest recovery skills.
- Ability to develop and enforce FOH standards, SOPs and quality control checklists.
- Strong organizational skills, resilience under pressure, and ability to prioritize during simultaneous events.
Commercial & Analytical Skills:
- Comfortable monitoring attendance, guest feedback and service KPIs; able to produce brief operational reports and recommend improvements.
- Basic budgeting and cost-control awareness (labour scheduling, overtime, contract staffing).
Personal Attributes & Logistics:
- Flexible to work long hours, nights, weekends, and extended contract periods at sea.
- Strong communicator with good command of English; Mandarin is a plus.
- Able to live onboard in close quarters; professional, diplomatic, and guest-centric demeanor.
- Willingness to travel/repatriate as required and comply with company travel/vaccination policies.
Education:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Events Management, Performing Arts Production, or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted).
