Job Overview
The Project Manager (Electrical & ELV System) is responsible for the full lifecycle of Electrical and ELV projects, from design to implementation and handover.
This role involves direct client engagement, design and project coordination to ensure all deliverables meet project specifications, standards and timelines. The successful candidate will be proficient in Electrical and ELV solutions, supporting both technical excellence and a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Define and implement project management tools in line with corporate goals.
- Manage end-to-end project delivery from client consultation to final handover.
- Oversee detailed design and implementation of Electrical / MEP / ELV systems and combined services drawings (CSDs).
- Ensure designs meet client requirements, industry standards and constructability best practices.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, M&E teams, sub-contractors and internal departments.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
- Perform site management (when needed) for installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Analyse and manage project risks, costs, budgets and contractual issues.
- Develop and track project schedules based on customer requirements, deadlines and milestones.
- Ensure all project activities are executed efficiently and cost-effectively.
Ensure full compliance with project scope and technical specifications.
Electrical & ELV Design and Implementation
Lead the design, coordination and execution of ELV systems for assigned projects, such as:
ELV, EVC & Security Systems
- AV / Video Conferencing Systems
- BMS, Building Automation and Fire Alarm Systems (preferred)
- ICT & Structured Cabling Systems (SCS)
- Manage external consultants for detailed design documents, tender materials and bid evaluations.
- Ensure ELV designs meet performance, reliability and regulatory requirements under relevant international and local standards.
Coordinate fit-out and integration between Electrical, Mechanical, MEP and ICT services.
Client Liaison & Technical Support
Act as the primary technical interface with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage client expectations and ensure alignment with design and construction requirements.
- Serve as the main contact for project updates, progress issues and escalations.
Be familiar with Singapore SS / COP / construction and infrastructure standards.
Standards, Innovation & Technology
Keep up to date with developments in ELV, building automation and fit-out technologies.
- Research and evaluate new solutions in intelligent building systems, environmental monitoring and IoT integration.
Support the development and maintenance of project and design standards to ensure consistency across regional projects.
Technical & Quality Oversight
Ensure all electrical and ELV works comply with local codes, safety standards and design intent.
- Supervise testing and commissioning of systems (e.g. power distribution, lighting, ELV systems).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
Review and approve T&C and FAT/SAT documentation where applicable.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce workplace safety standards (WSH, risk assessments, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g. EMA, BCA, SCDF in Singapore).
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, company HR policies and corporate standards.
Essential Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Candidates with strong project management / Electrical / ELV experience may be considered based on equivalent qualifications.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years' experience in Electrical / ELV system design, implementation or project fit-out.
- Proven track record managing full project lifecycle: design, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
- Experience working with design consultants, system integrators and main/general contractors.
Technical Competence
- Strong understanding of local SS / COP, ELV standards, installation practices and system integration principles.
- Familiarity with infrastructure systems and fit-out coordination across electrical, mechanical, MEP and ICT.
- Preferred: working knowledge of BMS, BA, Fire Alarm systems and acceptance documentation (T&C, FAT/SAT).
- Knowledge of HT, LV, ELV, ACMV, Fire and BMS systems is an advantage.
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and ownership; able to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under pressure.
- High attention to detail, strong discipline and commitment to quality.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to liaise with international and regional teams.
- Proficient in BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
