Senior Fiori Developer (SAPUI5/Fiori)

Location: Central, Singapore

Type: 1-year contract

About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Fiori Developer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade SAP UI solutions. You'll act as the UI SME, drive key technical decisions, and mentor developers while partnering across business and technology teams. Core stack: SAPUI5/Fiori with supporting ABAP artifacts (CDS/AMDP/BOPF) and OData on SAP Gateway.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Fiori architecture & patterns; define reusable UI components and standards.
  • Design, build, and optimize SAPUI5/Fiori applications (performance, accessibility, UX).
  • Integrate with back-end via OData/REST (SAP Gateway); collaborate on data models and services.
  • Produce and review annotations, CDS views, and metadata-driven Fiori Elements apps.
  • Guide the team through code reviews, performance tuning, and debugging; ensure engineering best practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to shape roadmaps and make key technical decisions.
  • Mentor mid-level developers; uplift team capabilities and enforce CI/CD and versioning discipline.
  • Champion quality and continuous improvement; stay current with SAP/Fiori trends and tools.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10–12 years in SAP development with deep Fiori/UI expertise; proven technical leadership.
  • SAPUI5 / Fiori: Expert in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3; strong UI design and optimization.
  • OData & SAP Gateway: Consuming, debugging, and performance-tuning services (SEGW).
  • Fiori Elements & Annotations: Smart controls, CDS-based UIs, metadata-driven apps.
  • ABAP for Fiori: Solid fundamentals to support UI (CDS, AMDP, BOPF) and collaborate with ABAP teams.
  • Tooling: SAP Business Application Studio / SAP Web IDE, Eclipse ADT, Chrome DevTools, Git.

Nice-to-Have

  • Exposure to HR ABAP domains (HR master data, payroll, time management) and HR authorizations.
  • Experience with automated testing, linting, and performance profiling for UI apps.
