Head of Operations

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Head of Operations to lead sales operations and oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes as part of our integrated operational framework. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless coordination across departments, timely execution of business processes, and continuity of operations.

The Head of Operations will report into the APAC Regional Director to ensure consistency and alignment in operational practices.

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration, management, and strategic direction of ASIA-based projects.
• Ensure that the delivery, installation, and commissioning of CRS systems align precisely with customer requirements and CRS quality standards.
• Maintain the profitability of projects by closely monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resource allocation to achieve financial targets and project goals.

1. Sales Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day sales operations, ensuring accurate order processing, fulfilment, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with sales and project management teams to streamline workflows and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Keep detailed records of team achievements, including sales pipeline, issued quotations, project progress, closed projects, and outstanding debtor payments.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and support reporting and forecasting activities.

2. Accounts Receivable (AR) Oversight

• Assist finance to ensure timely and accurate invoicing to customers.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Work with finance to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

3. Accounts Payable (AP) Oversight

• Review and approve supplier invoices in line with company policies.
• Coordinate with procurement and finance to ensure timely payments.
• Maintain accurate records and support month-end closing activities.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as a liaison between sales, finance, and project management to ensure alignment and smooth execution of operational processes.
• Support the Head of Project Operations – Australia in aligning local practices with broader business strategies.
• Organise and execute CRS's involvement in promotional events, trade shows and exhibitions within ASIA.

5. Process Improvement

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key processes.
• Collaborate with project management personnel to develop effective execution plans that optimize site labour utilization and ensure on-time completion with maximum profitability.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation and ensure live data capture of sales orders within the CRS ERP System.

6. Self-Development Responsibilities

• Ensure that appropriate time is allocated to keep abreast of changes in the product offering of the CRS business as well as developing and new trends in the ICT industry.
• Keep abreast of latest developments in customer relationship management and effective sales management methodologies

Role Requirements and Preferred Skills

• Above 8 years of experience. Ideally has proven installation or project management background either in the ICT industry or technology sector.
• Experienced in servicing Data Centre clients and their facilities is highly desirable. Whilst not essential this background would be an advantage.
• Qualifications in an appropriate Electrical trades/engineering discipline.
• Ability to simultaneously organise and control numerous potentially conflicting priorities.
• Excellent time management and priority planning awareness.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong conceptual abilities with a good understanding of business operations and mature attitude to management.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills to all organisational levels.
• Self-starter who is highly motivated and able to work on own.

Travel requirement: Visit project sites and customer locations, which will involve international trips
