The Head of Operations is a key leadership position responsible for managing the operational performance of multiple Popeyes outlets in Singapore. This role involves driving efficiency, ensuring brand consistency, and contributing to business success in a fast-paced QSR environment. Reporting directly to the Brand General Manager, the Head of Operations will oversee teams, implement strategies to control costs and boost revenue, and support expansion efforts. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong F&B expertise, skilled in balancing operational demands with financial goals while adhering to local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute brand strategies aligned with company objectives, ensuring operational alignment across outlets.
- Oversee daily operations of multiple locations, enforcing adherence to brand standards, food safety protocols (e.g., SFA and halal guidelines), and efficiency measures.
- Provide leadership and guidance to outlet managers and teams, setting performance standards to enhance productivity, efficiency, and team development.
- Optimize labour costing by reviewing payroll, claims, and staffing plans, implementing scheduling efficiencies, and managing manpower to align with business needs while complying with Singapore's Employment Act.
- Maximize revenue by driving sales growth through menu innovations, promotional activities, upselling strategies, and effective inventory management to minimize waste and operating expenses.
- Plan and launch new product offerings on a regular basis, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet market demands.
- Recruit, train, and build high-performing teams, focusing on talent acquisition and retention to support operational excellence.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, P&L analysis, and expense control to achieve profitability targets.
- Lead new store openings, coordinating fit-out timelines, manpower planning, marketing, procurement, and seamless launches.
- Monitor guest feedback, resolve issues, and ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service and product quality.
- Act as a liaison with the Brand General Manager, escalating issues and contributing to strategic planning for the brand's growth in Singapore.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 5 years of experience as an Area Manager or Operations Manager in the F&B sector, with QSR/fast-food experience preferred.
- Proven track record in labour management, revenue optimization, financial oversight (e.g., budgeting, P&L), and multi-outlet operations.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore's food safety, halal certification, and employment regulations.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams and deliver results independently.
- Proficiency in operational tools, Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel for financial analysis), and POS systems.
- Willingness to travel between outlets (up to 50%) and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Popeyes or QSR brands
- Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP) or operations management (e.g., Lean methodologies).
- Bilingual abilities for engaging diverse teams and guests.
- Familiarity with digital platforms for training, scheduling, and analytics.
