We are seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of Manager, Head of Plant and Operations.

The successful candidate will focus on overseeing a production facility's day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective production to meet quality and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities include managing production schedules, leading staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, controlling budgets, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and analyzing performance data to drive strategic decisions.

Production Management:

Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet output, cost, and quality goals.

Staff Leadership:

Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate plant supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure operations meet all safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards, conducting regular inspections and training.

Budget & Cost Control:

Manage and control plant operational budgets, analyzing costs to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

Continuous Improvement:

Lead and implement strategies for continuous improvement, identifying inefficiencies, and adopting new technologies.

Quality Assurance:

Maintain and improve product quality, overseeing quality control procedures and ensuring products meet standards.

Maintenance & Resources:

Oversee the maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal utilization and prevent downtime.

Reporting:

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management on operational performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Coordinate with other departments, such as supply chain and engineering, to ensure seamless operations and support strategic initiatives.

Typical Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
  • More than 10 years of management experience in operations or manufacturing.
