About the role

Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, this Operations Coordinator (Sea Freight Import / Export) role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of sea freight import and export shipments for LX Pantos Singapore Pte Ltd.

What you'll be doing

  1. Handle full set of import / export shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.)
  2. Coordinate with shipping lines, co-loaders, and carriers for booking, space confirmation, and vessel schedules.
  3. Liaise with customers, overseas agents, and internal departments to ensure timely shipment execution.
  4. Monitor cargo status, track vessel movements, and update customers on shipment progress.
  5. Ensure compliance with import / export regulations, customs clearance requirements, and company SOPs.
  6. Manage cost control and billing accuracy for import / export shipments.
  7. Resolve operational issues, service failures, or discrepancies promptly.
  8. Plan and coordinate domestic cargo movement via road/rail/truck, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
  9. Liaise with transporters, warehouses, and internal teams to optimize routing and scheduling.
  10. Handle customer's complaint or issue, if any.
  11. Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by superior

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in sea freight operations, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry
  2. Strong knowledge of sea freight import and export procedures, documentation, and regulations
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders
  4. Proficient in using relevant software and IT systems for shipping and logistics management
  5. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
  6. Ability to work well independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  7. High attention to details and able to cope with high volume of jobs
  8. Familiar with permit declaration and cargo clearance
