Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret telecom regulatory developments, particularly those relating to interconnection, wholesale access and competition
  • Monitor operational compliance with telecom codes of practice and interconnection agreements
  • Prepare regulatory submissions, position papers and consultation responses
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry peers and internal business units
  • Collaborate with internal business units to implement regulatory decisions and/or fulfil regulatory requirements
  • Manage interconnection agreements with peer operators
  • Analyse interconnect cost structures and recovery mechanisms
  • Advise management on regulatory assessment of opportunities and threats, incorporating public policy considerations

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or related field with years working experience in regulated industries (e.g. Telecom, Power, Govt Board)
  • Highly analytical with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with good problem-solving and inter-personal skills
  • Strategic thinker with commercial awareness of telecom business models
  • Previous work experience in a highly regulated environment
