Meals: Staff meal provided

Rest Days: 4 days/month

Work Hours (Rostered)

  • Two shifts: 7:00am–5:00pm or 12:00pm–10:00pm

What You'll Do

  • Assist Head Chef with daily prep and cooking according to menu/recipes
  • Ensure ingredient freshness; support purchasing, receiving and storage
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene; follow food-safety standards
  • Help allocate tasks and guide kitchen assistants/trainees
  • Control portions and reduce waste per SOP
  • Contribute ideas for new dishes/menu improvements
  • Provide cover for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence to keep operations smooth

Requirements

  • 2+ years back-of-house/kitchen experience (hotline/prep)
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen operations, mise en place, portioning and food safety
  • Able to communicate in basic English for kitchen instructions and safety; other languages are a plus to serve diverse customers (not a requirement)
  • Team player, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Food Hygiene certification (e.g., Food Safety Course L1) is an advantage; otherwise willing to obtain after joining
