Manager/Senior Manager, Finance

Job Responsibilities

1. Finance Leadership

2. Oversight of financial operations to ensure alignment with goals and effective management of financial resources

3. Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, budget and forecast to support mission and objectives
4. Collaborate with leadership to drive financial performance and ensure sustainable growth
5. Provide guidance on financial-related issues to senior management and department heads

6. Evaluate project, initiatives and new business opportunities by assessing the financial impact and conducting scenario analysis to support management in making viable strategic decision making

7. Financial Reporting

8. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to ensure transparency, compliance, and informed decision-making for stakeholders

9. Lead financial consolidation reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities
10. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, halfyearly, yearly, and ad hoc financial reports
11. Manage treasury functions including overseeing cash flow forecasting and management

12. Continuously improve the FP&A processes, methodologies, reports and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial reporting, forecasting and analysis

13. Budgeting and Forecasting

14. Manage the budgeting process and financial forecasting to ensure effective resource allocation and financial planning

15. Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
16. Conduct regular financial forecasting to identify trends and inform decision-making

17. Monitor budget adherence and provide variance analysis to senior management

18. Risk Management and Compliance

19. Ensure effective risk management practices and compliance with financial regulations and standards

20. Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them
21. Ensure compliance with Singapore financial regulations and standards

22. Conduct regular audits of financial processes and controls to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement

23. Financial Analysis

24. Lead the analysis of financial data to provide insights that inform strategic financial decisions, ensuring data accuracy and actionable intelligence

25. Perform detailed variance analysis to compare actual financial results against historical data and benchmarks
26. Conduct trend analysis to identify patterns and shifts in financial performance over time
27. Develop and maintain financial models to analyse key business drivers and support decision-making
28. Generate comprehensive reports and visualizations that highlight financial insights, risks, and opportunities
29. Analyse profitability, cost structures, and revenue streams to identify areas for improvement

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Finance or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a start-up environment
• Proven experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting processes
• Ability to work independently and autonomously to define and implement solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate to achieve desired outcomes and build positive relationships
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, standards, and best practices
• Conversant with existing finance technology solutions (ERP and other SaaS platforms) to enhance and streamline financial workflows in the organization
