studioMilou is an international architectural practice specialising in cultural, heritage and high-end residential projects, with offices in Singapore, Paris and Hà Nội. The studio is recognised for rigorous design research, refined detailing and integrated architectural, interior and exhibition design services.

Our
Hà Nội team and Singapore teams collaborate closely on various public and private projects, examples including the recently completed Da Nang Museum, and the Lumi residential project.

Role overview

The architectural assistant will work within a highly collaborative team on projects from concept to construction, with a particular focus on 3D modelling, visualisation and the development of detailed design and documentation packages. The role suits designers who are methodical, precise and comfortable working within challenging design and delivery programmes.

You will coordinate closely with senior architects, consultants and clients, and contribute to design reviews, liaising closely with studioMilou Singapore.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality 3D models for concept design, competitions, detailed design and presentation.
  • Produce accurate 2D drawings and documentation packages (plans, sections, elevations, details) in line with studio standards and relevant codes.
  • Prepare visualisations, diagrams and presentation materials to communicate design intent clearly to clients and consultants.
  • Coordinate architectural information with structural, M&E, landscape and exhibition consultants.
  • Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to design development with clear, well‑argued proposals.
  • Support site coordination, shop drawing review and technical resolution during construction when required.
  • Maintain rigorous file organisation and version control across drawings, models and documents.

Required experience

  • 3–5 years of post‑graduate professional experience in an architectural practice, including at least 2 years of experience working on built or on‑site projects.
  • Demonstrated experience developing 3D models from concept through to detailed design stages.
  • Proven experience working on cultural, institutional, public or high‑end residential projects is an advantage.
  • Prior experience with Vietnam projects, local standards and coordination with local authorities is strongly preferred.

Skills and competencies

  • Excellent 3D modelling skills using software such as Rhino, SketchUp, Enscape; ability to manage complex, highly detailed models.
  • Strong 2D drafting skills in AutoCAD (and Revit if relevant to the office workflow).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) for presentations and reports.
  • Strong spatial thinking, design sensitivity and attention to architectural detail.
  • Ability to work methodically, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment.
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Arch or equivalent).
  • For Hà Nội: recognised architecture qualification suitable for local professional pathways.

Language requirements

  • Sound command of English required for daily coordination with international teams
