Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end design and implementation of mission-critical distributed systems leveraging microservices, ensuring ultra-low latency, high throughput, and fault tolerance.
  • Provide deep architectural leadership across application, infrastructure, and security layers, embedding non-functional attributes (performance, scalability, reliability, resilience, compliance) into every solution.
  • Translate ambiguous functional requirements into detailed technical design artifacts with traceability across business, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional SMEs while challenging assumptions to enforce technical rigor and architectural consistency.
  • Define and enforce enterprise-grade microservice design standards, reusable patterns, and governance models to ensure uniform adoption across large programs.
  • Architect and deliver accelerators, frameworks, and internal tools to reduce technical debt and raise engineering quality standards across teams.
  • Continuously evaluate, pilot, and integrate emerging technologies in event-driven architectures, service mesh, observability, and security to strengthen platform capabilities.
  • Conduct formal design risk assessments, propose alternative strategies, and defend recommendations in front of senior technical and business stakeholders.
  • Lead technical validation during SIT/UAT phases, ensuring regulatory compliance (PCI, PSD2, MAS guidelines), and provide post-production stabilization leadership.
Requirements
  • 15 years of progressive architecture experience in large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Proven hands-on expertise in Java/J2EE, Core Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud, with ability to deep-dive into code reviews, performance profiling, and debugging.
  • Advanced understanding of service-oriented and microservices architectures, including REST, SOAP, and event-driven design patterns.
  • Demonstrated banking/financial services experience in high-volume transaction processing, KYC/AML workflows, and integration with core banking platforms (mandatory).
  • Strong expertise in middleware/messaging technologies (MQ, JMS, Kafka) and real-time event streaming design.
  • Proven delivery experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including pod-to-pod communication with Azure Open Service Mesh, and secured service exposure via Azure API Gateway (APIM).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for microservices deployment into Kubernetes, ensuring zero-downtime releases.
  • Advanced knowledge of OAuth2.0, token-based authentication, PKI, PCI-DSS, OWASP security standards, and secure coding practices.
  • Strong background in SQL Server database optimization, data modeling for financial transactions, and query performance tuning.
  • Demonstrated expertise in migration of legacy integration platforms (e.g., TIBCO) into cloud-native Spring Boot services.
  • Ability to mentor, lead, and technically upskill teams, while holding them accountable to architectural and security standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to defend architectural decisions under pressure.
