The Barça Academy is the official academy of FC Barcelona, a school of life that trains people through football, offering comprehensive training to its students, to grow as sportspersons as well as human beings, with its own unique model, based on the Barça methodology.
The Barça Academy is aimed at boys and girls from five to sixteen years of age, following and replicating the game model established in the FC Barcelona coaching teams: the "Barça style". The main objective of the project is to extend the Barça brand to the rest of the world by transmitting the Club's work philosophy, with a proactive, collective and creative style of play, and through the values of: respect, effort, ambition, teamwork and humility.
The Barça Academy is present in 5 continents, with 33+ academies and 40,000 players training and playing football the Barca Way. In South East Asia the Barca Academy is currently operating in Singapore in partnership with a group of local entrepreneurs through their company Sports Dev Pte Ltd.
Barça Academy Singapore is currently looking to hire a Senior Customer Service Executive for its Singapore operations.
Job Title: Senior Customer Service Executive
- Support Business Development in converting leads generated by the marketing team to paying members of the academy. This involves moving leads down the sales funnel online through a combination of Whatsapp messages and calls. You will invite and coordinate player trials at the academy and then send the players and their parents proposals to join the academy and communicate with them until they either convert to paying players or outright reject the offer made.
- Process payments and send invoices to players who have paid
- Support the business development team in managing the database of new leads and existing players. This involves ensuring all details are correct and that status of each lead is up to date
- Deal with Existing Customer Service / Queries (face to face, tel, WhatsApp, email)
- Assist the business development team in complying with our internal customer-related service level agreements that include quick response times to all queries made through Whatsapp, email, social media, and calls.
- Speaking to new prospects who attend the trials and selling our academy programs to them
The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to connect with people and must be comfortable selling programs to parents (with demonstrable experience). A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a level of comfort with CRMs and other SaaS products will be required. Weekends are critical to this business so the candidate will be required to work on some weekends and also evenings on weekdays. The job is based in Singapore and requires the candidate to work from home and come to the office (In the Aljunied area) on certain days during the week.
In exchange for this, the candidate can expect to work with a group of successful entrepreneurs and will have a front-row seat to the development and growth of a mature business. Please note that this is a job located in Singapore and you must be eligible to work and live here in order to be considered for the role.
