Purpose of Job:

To ensure that sampling and quality control analysis for raw materials, work- in- progress and finished products (Analytical, Microbiological and Sensory) in accordance to established standards and Heineken Laboratory Star System.

To ensure that simple off-line and in-line calibrations/verifications (Analytical) are performed.

Supports troubleshooting process analysis in production. Performs trouble shooting/ calibration/ verification QC lab equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures a clean and tidy working area without unnecessary losses of consumables/chemicals, in line with the defined and implemented safety standards and following 5S and HACCP standards at the workplace.
  • Makes all the quality checks in line with the Laboratory Star System (LSS) procedures and procedures on sampling and analyses.
  • Participates and plays an active role in improvement teams related to laboratory and supports implementation of these improvement opportunities or corrective actions in the laboratory (ISO9001, LSS, TPM etc.).
  • Executes all simple laboratory analyses (Analytical and Microbiological), including sampling, sample preparation and reporting results, in line with the valid Laboratory Methods.
  • Prepares chemical solutions needed for the analyses (in the laboratory and production environment).
  • Executes simple activities for the local Sensory Panel.
  • Performs simple maintenance, calibration and verification of analysis equipment (in laboratory and production environment).
  • Keeps track of availability of laboratory materials.
  • Work closely & coordinate with other departments on Sampling/QC activities and the release of goods.

Requirements:

  • Skillful in laboratory analytical method and equipment maintenance.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Clear report writing skill.
  • Able to work independently as well as a team.
  • Minimum Diploma in Chemical Process Technology/ Food Science/ Food Technology with 1 - 2 year QA / QC laboratory experience in manufacturing environment preferably F & B industry.
  • University degree (Bachelor's Degree) preferred with at least 6-month industrial internship related to QA/QC specific experiences
  • May be required to work on extended hours and on off or rest days.
