About the Role
You will be part of the Cancer Genetics Service under the Division of Medical Oncology, providing comprehensive operational, administrative, and care coordination support. This multifaceted role encompasses essential administrative functions including fund management, event coordination, clinical support, and managing patient care pathways and financial assistance programmes. You will serve as a key liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless service delivery while maintaining critical databases and registries. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail will be essential for success in this position.
Some of the Key Responsibilities Include
• Manage Cancer Genetics Service funds, claims, procurements, and inventory of office equipment and clinic education materials
• Act as a point of contact between patients, Singapore Cancer Society, and healthcare providers to facilitate seamless care delivery and coordinate medical appointments across different healthcare providers
• Coordinate the application of financial assistance programmes to eligible cancer patients, ensuring timely disbursement, documentation, tracking and reporting
• Plan and execute events including symposiums, conferences, masterclasses, and patient support group events such as "Living With" series
• Maintain clinical databases and family registry, coordinate data collection and cleaning to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Generate analytical reports to support clinical research and programme evaluation, and provide clinical data to stakeholders to guide the provision of cancer genetics services
• Handle general enquiries through various communication channels and provide administrative support for team operations
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant field such as biology, genetics, biomedical sciences, healthcare administration or public health
• years' experience in administrative roles, preferably in healthcare setting
• Familiarity with genetic/genomic testing pathways and clinical utility will be an advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
• Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and handle highly confidential information
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong organisational skills
• Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and rapport-building skills to connect with patients
• Adaptable, reliable, and practices in accordance with appropriate code of ethics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
