The Facility Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and overall management of multiple buildings under our term service contracts. This role demands a proactive and strategic approach to facility management, ensuring that all sites operate at peak efficiency, maintain compliance with regulations, and deliver the highest standards of service to clients.
The Facility Manager is responsible for coordinating resources, managing subcontractors, and leading in-house maintenance teams to meet contractual obligations and exceed client expectations. They work closely with stakeholders to ensure that building systems, infrastructure, and amenities are maintained to optimal standards, while also identifying opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings.
With a strong understanding of building services, preventive maintenance, and asset management, the Facility Manager ensures that all facilities operate smoothly, safely, and sustainably. By implementing robust maintenance schedules and response protocols, they reduce downtime, extend asset life, and optimise building performance.
The Facility Manager serves as the key liaison between clients, service providers, and the company, ensuring clear communication and swift resolution of issues. Their leadership fosters a culture of safety, efficiency, and client-focused service delivery across all assigned sites.
In addition, the Facility Manager mentors and guides on-site teams, promoting continuous improvement and professional development to enhance service standards. Through meticulous planning, monitoring, and reporting, they help strengthen the company's reputation as a trusted provider of facility management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and Oversee Maintenance Activities.
o Develop and implement planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure timely execution across
all assigned buildings.
Manage Day-to-Day Operations.
o Oversee daily facility operations, including building services, cleaning, landscaping, security, and other
contracted services.
Coordinate Subcontractors and Vendors.
o Engage, supervise, and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contract terms,
quality standards, and safety requirements.
Monitor and Control Budgets.
o Manage facility budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service
Ensure Regulatory Compliance.
o Ensure all operations adhere to statutory regulations, building codes, and workplace safety requirements.
Respond to Emergencies.
o Lead the response to urgent facility issues, coordinating resources to resolve problems promptly and
effectively.
Maintain Records and Reports.
o Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, contracts, and incident reports for accountability
and audit purposes.
Implement Safety Standards.
o Promote and enforce workplace safety practices, ensuring proper use of PPE and adherence to health and
safety protocols.
Drive Client Satisfaction.
o Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring open communication, prompt responses, and proactive
issue management.
Support Sustainability Initiatives.
o Identify and implement environmentally friendly practices to improve energy efficiency and reduce the carbon
footprint of managed sites.
Mentor Facility Teams.
o Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to on-site teams to improve skills and service delivery.
